Kansas City Chiefs (official thread)

Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Kansas City Chiefs' barber tests positive amid haircuts, sources say

The Chiefs had 20 people, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes, other players and staff members, in line for a haircut Sunday with a barber who tested positive for COVID-19, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Backup center Daniel Kilgore was in the chair when the Chiefs pulled the barber once his COVID-19 test results came in, Schefter reported. Kilgore and the barber both were wearing masks and because Kilgore was deemed a close contact, he told the barber to finish. A source initially had told ESPN that Kilgore was mid-haircut when the barber was pulled.

The Chiefs on Monday placed Kilgore and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson on the reserve/COVID-19 list after they were considered to be close contacts.

Robinson and Kilgore have not practiced since being placed on the COVID-19 list this week. But they can return to play in Super Bowl LV on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if they test negative for five consecutive days.

Just sayin': I'd call that incident a "close shave". Regardless, it's pretty stupid to allow a team barber to start cutting players hair (or any other non player inter facing with the players for that matter) before his/her test results are in.

“Involved in multi-vehicle accident” is not how to describe Britt Reid drunkenly hitting 2 parked vehicles that injured a 5 and 4 year old.

He wasn’t “involved.” He caused it, likely impaired.

I feel like this portion is the real concern not that fuckwad of a human.

A 5-year-old child in the backseat of the Traverse suffered life-threatening injuries and a 4-year-old, also in the backseat, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to KCPD.

Sources: Chiefs shipping first-round pick, 3 others to Ravens for package highlighted by Orlando Brown Jr.

In a major trade between AFC powers, the Baltimore Ravens sent Pro Bowl offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chiefs announced Friday. The deal also gives Baltimore an additional first-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Ravens acquire three picks in next week's NFL draft -- a first-rounder (No. 31 overall), a third-rounder (No. 94) and a fourth-rounder (No. 136) -- as well as a fifth-round selection in 2022, sources said.

The Chiefs get a starting left tackle in Brown, with sources saying Kansas City will also get Baltimore's second-round pick in 2021 (No. 58 overall) and a sixth-rounder in 2022.

The Chiefs now will have a completely new starting offensive line from last season's opener. Previously, they signed Joe Thuney, Kyle Long and Austin Blythe as free agents. They also expect Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Lucas Niang back this season after they opted out in 2020 due to COVID-19-related reasons. All will at least compete for starting spots.
