K Mike Nugent (All American, Lou Groza Winner, National Champion)

Did anyone watch Nuge during warmups before the spring game? My friends and I were just sitting there jaws agape watching this guy blast the ball... He was hitting from 50+ without really seeming to work at it. That was into the wind (maybe 2mph). He is really something special, and we're definitely going to miss him at some point next year.

Thought I'd bump this one becuase Nuge just became the #2 FG kicker all time at OSU and only trails the leader by 9 with 10 games left.

Also the 9 points he scored today gives him 263 for his career which trails Pete Johnson (#1 all time) by 86 points.

as of 9/4/04 Nuge for his career:
50/64 .781
263 pts

Great stats. Considering how he rebounded from his first year, we should all keep this in mind when we criticize our first year players at tOSU.

No kidding...... Nuge caused several of us to pull our hair out a few years back. Its a shows the measure of his character how well he dealt the misses his first year and developed into an incredible kicker.

Well said!

Anybody remember Schlicter's first game? He turned out okay.
Anybody remember Tupa's first punt? I think he dropped it if I recall.

I'm surprised people weren't all over Ginn today for his -8 yd. reception. Boy, he is gonna be a great one.

People ARE all over Zwick. Give him time, too.

Nuge! Nuge, Nuge, Nuge!

Great job, Nuge! Absolutely ... Perfect.

Great job by Marshall's kids and coaching staff. They played with the heart of a lion. I really gained a lot of respect for their program.

Once again, TressellBall prevails & I will have a coronary before my time because of it. Can't these games ever get easy? Ever!??
