SAINTS STAR STILL UNDECIDED

ANDY SHARP / AJC
Cedar Grove standout Josh Jarboe still hasn't decided where he's headed to college, but has apparently narrowed his wish list to four prominent programs.

Jarboe to set visit
Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, and Tennessee continue to be the front-runners to score a commitment from Cedar Grove receiver Josh Jarboe.
He is expected to visit LSU or Oklahoma on Oct. 6, a bye weekend for the Cedar Grove Saints.

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - From the Road: Carrying the load

Cedar Grove duo not enough against Marist: Wide receiver Joshua Jarboe and athlete Xavier Avery did what they could to bring Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove back from a 20-point second half deficit against Marist, but they ran out of time.

They were down 28-6 before mounting a comeback in the second half, only to fall short 35-25. Jarboe finished with seven receptions and more than 100 yards, but the moment he will remember is when he dropped an open pass that would have been a 60-yard touchdown.

Jarboe hopes to attend Saturday SEC showdown
Cedar Grove receiver Josh Jarboe hopes to be in Baton Rouge on Saturday when LSU hosts defending national champion Florida.
Jarboe, whose finalists are Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma and Tennessee, also plans to witness an Oklahoma game in person in early November.
The 6-foot-3, 195-speedster said he wasn?t surprised that 19-point underdog Auburn went into Gainesville and defeated the Gators on Saturday.
Unable to attend a college game on Saturday, Jarboe said he doesn?t have much discipline when it comes to watching games on television.
?If I sit and watch too much, it just makes me want to play,? said Jarboe, who watched part of Auburn?s upset victory over Florida on Saturday. ?I?ll watch a quarter or two. That?s about it.?

Jarboe visits Oklahoma
Cedar Grove receiver Josh Jarboe was in attendance on Saturday when Oklahoma spanked Big 12 foe Texas A&M 42-14 in Norman.
?The visit was alright,? Jarboe said. ?They showed me around and I talked to all of the coaches.?
Jarboe, who is considering scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Tennessee, hopes to make the trek to Baton Rouge later this month with Cedar Grove teammate Xavier Avery, who recently committed to Georgia.
?Xavier and I will likely take a visit to LSU in a couple of weeks,? Jarboe said. ?[Xavier] is still looking, but he?s committed to Georgia.?

Jarboe continues to search
Cedar Grove receiver Josh Jarboe continues to remain interested in Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, LSU, Miami, Ohio State and Tennessee.
But with coaching changes underway and unclaimed scholarship opportunities becoming scarce at some schools, Jarboe hopes to make up his mind by the end of the year.
?I don?t have a front-runner yet,? Jarboe said. ?I?ll decide in late December.?
Despite the recent departure of former Tech coach Chan Gailey, the Jackets still intrigue Jarboe.
?Some of the other coaches are still there,? he said. ?[The coaching change] doesn?t matter. It?s still the same school.?
Time could be running out for Jarboe at Georgia, which may be down to two unclaimed scholarships to offer to the current recruiting class.
?Georgia is still an option,? Jarboe insisted.
His Cedar Grove teammate, Xavier Avery, has already committed to Georgia,
?We still talk about me going to Georgia,? Jarboe said.

From the GAVSV site. Jarboe says that he may give a verbal before the week is over. His final choices are Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Oklahoma. The opportunity to make an immediate impact will be a major factor for Joshua.

I was in downtown Orlando Saturday night and saw Jarboe along with Slaughter (believe an ND commit?). It was around 1am, so was a little surprised to see him out. They seem to just be wandering the street.

There was one thing I noticed.... he is listed as 6'3, but he was barely taller than me and I am 5'11. Just thought it was interesting.

OU signee arrested for felonies

http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/5973
Oklahoma signee Josh Jarboe was arrested Thursday evening for receiving stolen property and having a weapon on school property -- both felony charges for one of the nation's top college recruits. Jarboe, a standout wide receiver from Cedar Grove High School, is ranked by Rivals.com as the 10th-best wide receiver nationally in the Class of 2008. He committed last month to play for Oklahoma, choosing the Sooners over Florida, Georgia and LSU. In addition to the felony charges, Jarboe also could face expulsion from school under DeKalb schools policy.
