Cedar Grove duo not enough against Marist: Wide receiver Joshua Jarboe and athlete Xavier Avery did what they could to bring Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove back from a 20-point second half deficit against Marist, but they ran out of time.
They were down 28-6 before mounting a comeback in the second half, only to fall short 35-25. Jarboe finished with seven receptions and more than 100 yards, but the moment he will remember is when he dropped an open pass that would have been a 60-yard touchdown.

Rivals250 wide receiver Joshua Jarboe was supposed to begin his official visits last weekend, but he has put those off a while.
He was expected in Norman to visit the Oklahoma Sooners, but he has pushed that back to December. He will likely visit Oklahoma, LSU and Tennessee. Visits four and five are still up in the air.
Everyone knows the senior dynamic duo of athlete Xavier Avery (Georgia commit), and wide receiver Joshua Jarboe. They both played a part in the comeback with Avery coming up from his safety position to make several stops, and Jarboe catching a key two-point conversion.
Josh Jarboe. The speedy Cedar Grove receiver is considering Georgia, Georgia Tech and several Division I powers, including LSU, Ohio State and Tennessee. And Oklahoma is making a late push for the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder.

Oklahoma signee Josh Jarboe was arrested Thursday evening for receiving stolen property and having a weapon on school property -- both felony charges for one of the nation's top college recruits. Jarboe, a standout wide receiver from Cedar Grove High School, is ranked by Rivals.com as the 10th-best wide receiver nationally in the Class of 2008. He committed last month to play for Oklahoma, choosing the Sooners over Florida, Georgia and LSU. In addition to the felony charges, Jarboe also could face expulsion from school under DeKalb schools policy.
