The only thing I question is the 195 if his bench max is only 225. This could be Kyle Jefferson all over again, but Josh (if we really have offeres) appears to be a better football player, rather than a track star playing football.

This might be discussion better served in another thread, and if so feel free to move it, but with Josh saying that the staff was in to see him is what led to this thought...

I know that with the small amount of schollies we have to give we are seeing about the same number of offers, but it seems that the staff has been all over the country, moreso than what I remember the past couple years, visiting OOS kids just to show their interest...Maybe it is due to the influx of early articles that the recruiting services are putting out compared to just a couple years ago, but just what I am kinda seeing...

Thoughts??

Jarboe seems like a longshot...he is likely to stay local. Scott is a possibility with an offer. Tate and his mother love OSU, but that area has been tough for OSU in recent years. AJ Green is not coming to Columbus. I will bet my home on that. Floyd was once enamored with ND but that seems to have cooled and he was recently quoted as saying ND and OSU were his top choices. I think Floyd is more realistic, especially with an offer in hand, than Jarboe. Posey, Davidson, Fred Smith, Woods, Stoneburner and Fairchild are all kids that will get a looks as well.

I think this time of year you see a lot of OOS kids names pop-up because the staff is making its rounds and sending out tons of mailer...the amount of OOS interest will dwindle as we get to camp, at which point we should have a fairly good idea of which OOS prospects are worth keeping an eye on and which are not. I don't expect schollies to sit on the table until NLOID like they did last year. I would expect more of a Texas approach this year. Remains to be seen...

My guess is the Green he was referring to was Brandon Green and not AJ Green...

I agree with everything you said about Tate, I know that I am not the pessimistic type but when it comes to Maryland there are many reasons to have negative feelings...

It just seems like these kids this year have been saying that so and so coach from tOSU was in to visit...We usually get a lot of this with instate, but there have been coaches to Minnesota about 2 or 3 times already and to see Jarobe, Brewster, Shugarts, etc...

As for the Texas approach they already have 9 verbals so we have a little catching up to do...

The staff from my point of view appear to already have the offers out to the obvious offers and guys they want bad. But as a live and learn lesson from '07, we are keeping the heat on guys we haven't offered yet if/when some of the big OOS guys start bailing on us. They appear to be very active in visiting all over the place it seems...but on Jarboe...I would love for him to be our annual Georgia commit:biggrin:

I was talking about Brandon Green, wideout from Chicago...he has said OSU is dream school

My bad...Green seems like a real possibility, but he needs an offer first. If he gets one, I like our chances.
