Josh Brent (official thread)

I think you are taking these snippets a little too literally...remember there is the issue of context and timing. One may have bene written before the other...maybe he has talked to Doc Tressel since then, maybe one reporter chose to focus on the depth issue wheras the other didn't even mention it.

Also, there is the issue of tipping your hand... Recruits that are really into one team will down-play their interest to that team's site...

I think we are in great shape with Josh. We have the last visit for him (realistically at least, I think ASU is scheduled in later Jan., but I don't think he makes that visit), as he will officially visit Michigan 12/1 and us 12/8, plus he'll be in attendance for The Game.

Wuts up with that GPA... is he going to have problems with admissions or does that ACT score make him eligible?

Maybe less weekends at the ballgames and more at the library...

keep in mind that is his core GPA...Also a score of 21 for an athlete should get you in to about any BCS school.

Here is the link to the NCAA eligibility table

With a 2.3 Core GPA, Josh needs an 18.75 which rounds to a 19.

Therefore, if he holds his GPA, he will be eligible according to the NCAA...tOSU admissions are another story that none of us can accurately predict anymore.

Rivals $

10/10

The visit seems to have cooled even more now as Josh says it helped Michigan, but not very much as they are still his third choice behind the Buckeyes and Illinois. He does admit though, that there is not a huge gap between his teams of interest.
