Jordan Seaton (OL Colorado, transfer to ???)

Pate is right and Seaton pulled a scumbag move, no doubt.

However, goes to show the culture Prime built at Colorado and the selfish attitudes that pervade that program under him.
When he arrived to CU and told the kids that were already there that most of them could leave, because he was bringing in his own players. He told the program how much loyalty meant. I've always loved Prime the player, but as a coach, I think he's the worst part of CFB. And this last year was exactly how I predicted it would go. He could no longer lean on Shedeur and Travis, and when left to actually have to coach the talent/mercenaries he brought in, he was looked like a coach who was in over his head.

Not that anyone cares, but I keep a close eye on Miami bc of some ties there.

I think they’re making a colossal miscalculation pushing for so many high priced kids right now.

Their defensive and offensive lines are gutted going into next season. Throwing around this type of cash to go from relatively average to maybe a Top 20-ish team seems like a terrible use of $$$ to me.

Mensah is an awful investment…..maybe if they were “just a QB” away….but that’s not even close to the case. They should be investing for 2-3 years down the road, not next year, IMO.

All due respect, and a you're a great poster, these people, like everyone in our government, dont care how much they spend because it's someone else' money. They'll just go get more from a booster somewhere. Without there being any collective bargaining or cap on this shit, it's the Wild West out here except they frown on gunfights.

Well, I understand that…..I’d just say, Miami did an amazing job building up to this 2025 team. They recruited the defensive and offensive lines in a great way, where they invested heavily in elite recruits out of HS. Those kids developed as they played as freshman, to where they became dominate, and elevated them to a championship game this year. They supplemented those studs, with strategic transfer portal players….like a Carson Beck.

Not to beat a dead horse, but the $$$ they’re about to waste for 1 year of Mensah, when they aren’t even close is just lighting $$$ on fire. They’d be much better off running the same playbook back….I think they’re swinging above their weight bc they think “they’re back”. They have a good formula if they can be patient for 2-3 years….but they won’t be. Thats all….

And I’m sure he’ll be such a hard dedicated worker when he cashes that.

And then watch the teammates question it too. No thanks.
Not to mention that you can buy 5 good OL for that price, and not upset the market in your locker room.

Or 1-2 good OL, and spend the other 3 on a true difference maker at DE, where the superstar is actually a giant difference vs the fairly good guy.

OSU didn't need seaton this year. They needed Darryl Baldwin or Josh Fryar. They need a guy like that next year, and might already have em.

As much as many in the public want to to praise Cignetti and IU for their NC. What many casual fans and observers wont pay attention to, is that they have caused a massive course correction in the sport. As fun as it will be to brag about landing that 5star in the Portal or from HS. Getting the older veteran player will be cheaper and honestly be a better payoff immediately. And the number of teams who figure this out will see the benefits. Paying Seaton can cause quite a rift in a locker room, the same players who he will play with also are seeing this tweet. And the current starter at the team he chooses, im sure will have a convo with the coach about a pay bump or he too will then want to leave. That can cause a rift. The older players from smaller schools wont be so keen to rock the boat, due to not making as much, but their maturity could also quell some locker room issues as well. No thanks to guys like Seaton or any of those high cost QBs, WRs, etc

Waiting for the recruiting visits on game day where RS JRs from another college team are visiting as they are planning to hit the portal at the conclusion of the season;-) (sarcasm font here - sort of).

Back on topic to Seaton and watching which team wants to dump a bag his way.
