Guess "they" are the people who sell tickets to their time machine, so these obvious train wreck parents can go back about three decades and do a little research on the concept of healthy parenting before they conceive this hot mess of a privileged, over-indulged, under-developed boy child.

Johnny Manziel's ex-girlfriend now wants to pursue charges

Dallas Police put out a statement on Friday saying that troubled Cleveland Browns Johnny Manziel will be investigated for a complaint of domestic violence assault, after all.

Last Saturday, Manziel and his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley were involved in an altercation. Manziel wasn't charged then and the case was deemed closed by Dallas Police. More details emerged on Thursday, including allegations from Crowley that Manziel hit her repeatedly and threatened to kill them both, and the Dallas Police Department said "investigative efforts to date have not resulted in the filing of a criminal complaint and the incident is determined to be closed."

Johnny Manziel's father says his son could die soon without help

Johnny Manziel needs help, and quickly. So says his father, who believes the embattled quarterback is in deep trouble after twice refusing to enter rehab in the past week.

"I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday," Paul Manziel told The Dallas Morning News.

Manziel, 23, was dumped by his agent, Erik Burkhardt, on Friday a few days after his ex-girlfriend alleged he repeatedly hit her in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Both Dallas and Fort Worth police closed the cases after investigating.

After the family learned of the incidents, it tried to intervene and get him help. But Paul Manziel was upset that Johnny was allowed to walk away from Carrollton Springs Hospital after Paul told police that he thought his son was suicidal. The facility is a psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital that provides inpatient and outpatient treatment to adults suffering from mental illness and/or addiction.

Manziel, who spent time in rehab last offseason, is expected to be released by the Browns. But more important than his employment status right now is his health. Those closest to him are seriously concerned for his life right now.

Exactly.

Given Johnny's rugged good looks and boyish charm, it's easy to see how he could land a chick 3-4 levels beyond what he could get if he wasn't infamous and wealthy.

Good to know he's got people in his corner that really care about him. He's going to need it as he overcomes this adversity.

Tragically for Johnny, neither the AMA nor the APA officially recognize the legitimacy of his condition, and hence will never devise an effective treatment.

Where is the compassion for those poor souls afflicted with Putridaffluenzanalenza*?
