But it underscores the absurdity of NCAA control. The kid is selling his own signature. Not equipment. Not access. Not getting money from boosters. Not getting paid to play. Just selling his own personal signature.
He is part of a billion dollar business - and his signature is not his.

If selling signatures is allowed, HS recruits could cut deals to sell their signatures to a "broker" contingent upon signing their LOI. Kids would get a sense what schools provided the best market potential for their signatures- tOSU would likely be an attractive choice.
