Jock majors and other pointlessness (split from UFM thread)

I have to imagine that when admissions steps in and rejects a football or mbball player, it is probably at the level where this kid is never in a million years going to be capable of graduating in even the easiest major.

It's a good check and balance on the revenue programs, and one that I hope doesn't get lost in the details of UM taking the job.

Definitely. OSU doesn't have a jock major either, so the athletes need to actually do work to get through school.

Don't get me wrong, there are certainly easier majors than others. I was a double major at OSU, and one of them was certainly far easier than the other, but there is no program set up specifically to keep athletes eligible.

While we're not Auburn, I'm not sure that's anything to brag about lol. I see what you're saying but these players have resources out the ass extended to them to make sure they're eligible. The fact that some of them still aren't (see Duron Carter) speaks more about the individual than anything else.

Go into a communications lecture, swahili lecture, or any easy class lectures and tell me you don't see any athletes. There are plenty of jock majors. Let's be real here. Why do you think they made a huge deal because Robiskie graduated from Fisher. If you are going to say something ignorant like that, please check your facts.

There is a huge difference asking why there were less helmet stickers in the scUM game and proclaiming that OSU doesn't have "jock majors."
