Why was the other Notre Dame freshman, who was present in the car (just like Clausen), not cited?

I don't want to be defending him, but what's up with just him getting a misdemeanor while another kid gets nothing.

My friends from his high school tell me that he has always been an idiot.

Apparently, during the offseason of his junior year, he got into a fight with his girlfriend and punched his hand through a wall.

His throwing hand. Broke a finger. Not the brightest.

Are you sure about "girl friend" part?

Rumor has it Weis was going to be a character witness in the Vick trial, then the guy went and pleaded guilty instead of ignorance of the law.

I can't believe I've sunk to this level in making remarks, but then again, it is Notre Dame we're talking about.

Clausen was hailed as an all-time great HS qb. Never mind the talent rich squad he played on, nor the terrible competition he faced. Saturday's matchup came against a reeling defense. The result:

I must admit to being a bit of an Irish fan because of Quinn but I must also admit to enjoying watching Clausen take a pounding. It was funny to see him laughing it up before their game in happy valley, then have quite a different perspective after the game. He is/was one cocky kid and he got what was coming to him. However, you do have to admit that the ND OL is not helping him at all...or his WR's. Matter of fact, his whole team.

Seriously though, the Clausen video illustrates just what an abomination that "offensive line" is. I don't think they could block a high school jv defense. Pathetic.

Just saw it on espn, that USC and Michigan State are among many that have violated major recruiting rules, it actually showed a USC letter that offers him a full-ride scholarship, which breaks one of those rules.

I mean...

Its not like being Casey Clausen's little brother is quite the same as your last name being Manning or they've cloned Red Grange...

Really all it says that he might someday be cut by the Chiefs.
