Well, it can be hard to explain but if there is a new one being decided on in an odd numbered year the AD's meet in a southern city and have a convention which includes 4 nights of serious consideration with a Louisiana cajun band and 26 ladies from all over the south of dubious moral value. On the final night the AD's who are still awake draw straws to see who's name gets pulls out of a Gypsy dancers' bra with his teeth.
Now in an even year the AD's meet in Chicago and have a convention covering 4 nights of serious consideration with a country western band and 26 small people women of dubious moral value. On the last night the AD's still awake decide who gets to decide the winner by seeing who can nuzzle the longest between two large breasts. He then throws a dart at a wall covered with the prospects names.

Pretty sure the used Escorts sell better than the Teslas... over 10min around Nurburgring is awful... Honda Civic is 2m faster than that.
Nice toy for short drag strips, but not useful beyond that and some virtue signalling (while accomplishing nothing).

I would expect Gene Smith to be a strong candidate to replace Delany. Replace one 800-lb gorilla with another.

These are two strong, strong presences in collegiate athletics, regardless of how some people depreciate them.

It's interesting to see the reaction to the retirement announcement. I only spend time with Buckeye folk (since I live in the state) and most have the opinion of "Meh, this isn't an earth shattering loss. He was good at some things and poor at others"

However, you read some of the feedback from other founding members of the conference and you would think the man was the devil incarnate.

Obviously the finances speak all you need to know about Delaney. That said, let's hope they get someone with the cajones big enough to move the conference playoffs back to Chicago and out of nap town. Then go to work on pushing for a REAL national playoff with four geopgraphical sites two of which must be north of the Mason - Dixon Line and east of the Mississippi. Let's let the SEC and ACC fans travel a bit. It'll be good for them.

Every other fanbase in the B1G is pissed off at everything B1G related, because it's all a conspiracy to keep Ohio State and Michigan at the top.
