Jet's so serial: PSU = RIVALS!!!1!!11!

Purdue, obviously. After all, they're wearing special black helmets this weekend, right? Big game for them, must be rivals. :p

I think PSU is a rival for Ohio State, do I think they are "The" rival, not even remotely close. To answer Zurp's question for those that feel PSU is a rival who else would I consider. I would consider recently Wisconsin had the chance to become one and was building towards one, but circumstances change (Bert left, changing divisions, etc..) that will likely hinder a chance for a rivalry to continue to develop. So to assume that a person thinks that Purdue is a rivalry game because one thinks Penn State is a rivalry is pretty asinine.

I think the way JetBuck approach is argument was obviously poor.

Since I answered Zurp's question and responded to your asinine comment to it can you legitimately answer a question for me? Can Ohio State ever have another rivalry? Now it doesn't have to reach scUM level bu then there be a secondary rival. For example Florida St has Florida and Miami. Oklahoma has Texas and prior to 2011 Nebraska. I had previously asked JaxBuck a serious question and all he responded with was jibberish. I am hoping that you can respond with a more courteous and intelligent response.

Obviously. Such is the problem when a newbie joins a new forum, ignores the rules and starts new redundant threads for themselves, posts something virtually no one agrees with. The correct action is to say mea culpa, take some medicine, then move on.

Yelling louder and calling everyone else ignorant because they don't agree usually doesn't work out too well.

There's nothing wrong with having multiple rivals, but I don't consider Penn State a rival. Do I enjoy an OSU victory over them more than a victory over Purdue or Indiana? Absolutely. But that just means I dislike the team & fans of PSU more than I dislike those of a lesser school.
But that doesn't make it a rivalry.

What defines a rivalry, to me, is a history of significant matchups spanning multiple eras. My dad didn't raise me telling me stories about OSU-PSU, or OSU-Wisconsin. He told me stories about Michigan.

20 years from now, it very well may be different, but to me, the history of OSU-PSU just doesn't merit the term "rivalry".

It's guys like you that bring me back to the knowledge that our schools are more alike than dissimilar.
