Jets at Patriots(-24.5)

You took the words right out of my mouth. It's intriguing because the Patriots have obliterated most of their opponents, but their games against the Eagles and Ravens proved that they can be played with. 24.5 points seems like a huge spread. Then again, they did respond to Anthony Smith's guarantee pretty well last week...

Hell, why not?

Washington houses the first kickoff, runs through the endzone to borrow a video camera, and then aims it at the Patriots sideline.

It helps when a loudmouth backup is replacing Polamalu... opposites in every way.

Actually, the loudmouth was replacing Ryan Clark and has been for weeks. So, Pittsburgh had both of its backup safeties in. That does not help matters.
 ok, espn had highlighted Smith & Hair heading into the game.

Personally, I think the Patriots are a very talented team, but many defenses are littered with mediocrity these days. It never ceases to amaze me how easily Terrelle Owens and others can run downfield unguarded about a half dozen times in a game. I didn't think Northwestern was on the NFL schedule.
