So yeah, it's been done before. Like others, I prefer the white jersey with the scarlet pants and I love the number font used in the early 40s. Now, why can't Nike do straight-up throwback uni's?

I really don't see what all the fuss is about. The game they're wearing them for is the day before Halloween; you know the crowd is going to be decked out for Halloween, why can't the players?

I don't really give a shit what uniforms the players wear; besides not wanting to have any injuries, the only thing that I am really concerned about is the FINAL SCORE. I want it lopsided and in Ohio State's favor.

Probably because Nike wants to copyright the “new” design….creating a roadblock for copycat sales by legitimate competitors (the illegal knockoff sales will always still be around)…..that they could not get with a straight copy.

Gene should at least negotiate a deal with Nike where they take a picture of the whole team wearing these abominations and every player gets paid for the use of their image wearing them.

Actually that pic with Olave he posted doesnt look too bad. They could have been fire had they added a touch of gray to the jerseys and pants. I like the scarlet accessories for sure.
