I recall the same thing being said the first time Ohio State donned alternate jerseys. "It's a one time thing." Then it was "It's only one game a year".

Anyone want to guess how many times the Buckeyes wore alternate unis during the 2014 season? And how many different alternates were worn?

"Ohio State ain't Oregon".

Not yet, but it's coming. That's the end game.

1. Our current home jerseys haven't had a touch of grey in it since 05. Our away jerseys have a small sliver of grey on the sleeves. It's not like this changes much at all if worn on a home game. Take away our pants and there is zero reference to any grey.

2. According to OSU's official website, black is part of our color palette. Yes, we are known for "scarlet and grey", but white and black are still primary colors on our color wheel.

3. I don't mind a black jersey as long as it's done right. If it looks like that crappy shirt, no thanks.

I'm really fucking sick of bullshit like that 11w tweet there. I know it's inevitable that Nike will have its way with the corpse of tOSU tradition. It's been coming for awhile. That doesn't mean we have to stroke our genitals to "leaked" mock-ups or be happy about it. Also, it doesn't mean anyone is panicking in the slightest.

Not everyone that likes alternate uniforms is spitting in the face of tradition and not everyone opposed to change for the sake of change, or worse, change to put more money into the pockets of Oregon's daddy is a 75 year old Hawaiian that swims with honu.

VT and PSU had the alts with the wide jersey stripes and wide helmet stripes. The alts for the Sugar Bowl and NCG were essentially uniforms worn in the late '60s...
