Although I prefer a gray alternate, I love all the tears that come with the black jersey discussion.

I'm sure it's coming for the Illinois game at night. That's the only way to create excitement for that game.

But, I gotta say, the tears would be extra sweet if it was for The Game.

I know I'm a curmudgeon about uniforms, but I can't help but hate alternates. Tradition is what separates CFB from the NFL. I just don't get it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It would be like McDonald's changing their logo to look like Rally's. tOSU doesn't need Thursday night games, red turf, tickets on groupon, or alternate jerseys to attract recruits or win games.

Basically, we've let Bama be the program that sets the standard.

If they do it, I really hope it is for the Illinois game and not The Game. I know I like the alt uni's but there is too much tradition with The Game to drastically change the jerseys like that. In fact, I wish they would keep alt jerseys away from The Game all together unless it is a very subtle nod back to old uniforms. Now once a year for some other primetime game I am good with...you don't erase tradition by wearing a different uniform once a year.
