True that, but why is ever'body shakin' keys?
I think the key jangling is something people when they score a TD (or get a key INT) in the 4th quarter that makes the game out of reach for the opponent. It is to tell the opposing fans they might as well head to the door. Just a guess, because no one ever told me, but I based on when the key jangling comes out it seems right. I've seen it in a few stadiums.
So that brings up another question. If it occurs when the you kill your opponents chances of winning, it can't be a recent osu game. But I see a lot of red in the stadium. So my first thought is when they beat up on Miami OH. But it looks like they are wearing jackets. Sooo.... perhaps the Nebraska game of a few years ago...

And if memory serves, I seem to recall doing it when Kendall Gill came to St John in '90. But that had to do something with an improper car loan.

In the case of the arrogant ass up north the key janglin came from back in the day and was specifically to show opposing fans they had a better car

you can't make this shit up

I thought they did the janglin' because they are fucking morons.

I've fucked a few morons in my day, never made me want to jangle car keys

(made me want to grab car keys and run a few times but that's a different story)

no, I'm pretty sure key janglin comes from institutionalized arrogance

cowbell > keys in terms of annoyance

Key%20Play4.jpg

scUM fans jingle their car/bike keys before "key" plays... absolutely silly. The most annoying sound in the Big10 is the lion roar at Crappy Valley... PSU plays that after every single play.

A sighting of the rare VT keyplay keyring

And even rarer (apparently) actual use - though not against LSU

Note the sparsely populated end-zone seats.

I just stumbled accross the original post. Best part? It ties in with VaTech. Full circle :groove:
