I wouldn't be so "Quick" to rule him out.

No coach or player should aspire to play in the Big East.
It has been relegated to MAC level.

Strong will leave the first chance he gets.
Quick depsite being a hometown kid would be wise to do the same, lest he never play a meaningful game in his college career.
A couple of his teamates have already made the proper decision.
Quick would be a big fish in a small puddle that is Big East FB.

The other x factor is the dirty assisant on the 'Ville staff who is tied in with Shapiro at Da U.
Keep an eye on him.

Seeing quick's stats next to Marshalls, they both look amazing. Having these 2 on the outside would make some big 10 d coordinators' head explode trying to stop them both, and then you add Jacobs in the slot for a great mismatch

I agree. The way I see it is that if you are holding offers from top schools like Oregon and Ohio State - you should go there and if you are relegated to the bench you can always transfer out to a conference like the Big East, MWC, MAC, etc. Rarely will you see a player transfer "up" in conference.

Not knowing too much about the kid, is he a pure receiver with great speed or could he easily be used as an athlete for the teams needs?

There will be lots of college football prospects in the stands at Papa John?s Cardinal Stadium today to watch the University of Louisville play the University of Kentucky ? making it an important day not just for the Cardinals? 2012 season but for their recruiting efforts.

Trinity High School star seniors James Quick, a wide receiver thought to be perhaps U of L?s top remaining target in the 2013 class; Jason Hatcher, a defensive end who?s committed to Southern California; and Ryan White, a cornerback who?s committed to Vanderbilt and formerly was pledged to U of L; all confirmed Friday they?ll be at the game.

?I?ll really just be watching how the receivers play and see what they do with their receivers mostly,? said Quick.

Quick doesn?t expect to make a college commitment until the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January. He is considering, in order of preference, Louisville, Ohio State, Oregon, Kentucky and Cincinnati and said he plans to make official visits to all five schools.

Quick said he?ll likely attend most U of L home games this season. He might visit Ohio State for its Oct. 6 game against Nebraska.

Quick said he also regularly hears from UK coach Joker Phillips and assistant Greg Nord.
