We don’t NEED a 2020 RB with Crowley and Chambers looking as good as they do. 1 RB would be nice, but not a necessity. Especially if OSU can get 2 RBs in 2021. And as much as top RB recruits want immediate PT,it doesn’t always happen. With or without Gibbs, Teague, Crowley, Chambers and McCall would run this offense just finemissing on robinson/knighton/gibbs/etc. and probably smith would be quite the air biscuit for alford & co., especially with dobbins and teague showing that the staff will not stop prioritizing the running game no matter what the negative recruiting has claimed. and especially since, you know, we kinda really need a running back for 2020. and especially since, you know, top running back recruits should be seeing an opportunity for immediate playing time at a national powerhouse that contends for the playoff every year.
I’m really curious as to why it is a struggle for staff this year when other major programs seem to be bringing in multiple backs. Noted above at Bama 5 backs in 2 years. Heck even the Pedsters have recruited solidly at RB, I believe two 5* last year.We don’t NEED a 2020 RB with Crowley and Chambers looking as good as they do. 1 RB would be nice, but not a necessity. Especially when you consider the recent history with Carlos Hyde and Zeke Elliott. Then you consider what the offense is doing this year, running the ball over 60% of the time and has the nation’s #2 rusher in JK Dobbins, who happens to be an upperclassman! Yeah, it’s bizarre.I’m really curious as to why it is a struggle for staff this year when other major programs seem to be bringing in multiple backs. Noted above at Bama 5 backs in 2 years.
