Jackson "L" Carman (OL Cincinnati Bengals)

Clemson. Can't stand them. He made the decision best for him. As pointed out above, sometimes it works out best for the schools that "missed". What is the old saying? It's not the ones that go elsewhere that really hurt, it's those that come that are busts that is the problem.

Oh well, whatever Mr. Carman. Enjoy your decision.

We stopped recruiting Parson's for his baggage and the only reason we continued on with this kid was because he's an Ohio kid who plays a very important position.

Any other recruit we would've dropped him back in September when he called out the best QB who ever has played at OSU while on his visit (Just like we did with Parsons)

I never understood the whole thing with him being upset people assumed he was an OSU lock. I would not doubt that his decision today was partially made due to just not wanting to be the status quo or plainly being stubborn.

I'm not sad to lose this kid but I'd be lying if I said I hate losing a recruit to a southern school

Clemson's transformation since Dabo has taken over has been nothing short of amazing.

Glad this one's over though because again I was personally very turned off by Jackson handled himself throughout.

Kid seemed early on like he really wanted to prove everyone wrong and do his own thing. To burn every bridge behind him on his way out. Hope that’s not the case and he’s just feeding the drama. Would be a massive loss.
That's exactly how I took his recruitment... He wanted to make his own decision and not be swayed to another school.

Well he kind of was if you think about it. All the Crystal balls and predictions on him attending OSU sort of got him in the mind set of "I'll show you". I've never seen a response like this from a recruit regarding his anticipated decision.

I am on record that I am compleley ok if he does not go to Columbus. His talent will never balance the headache he will bring.

I have never wavered in this opinion.
Exactly. Case in point the whole "new or old signature"... If you're practicing a signature that "looks cool" you're doing it wrong.

very talented kid but an even bigger ego.

Having seen him abused for 3 years by Colerain's smaller edge rushers isn't even the reason I never wanted him to be a Buckeye.
I won't bash the kid but he is the kind of player that could cause a coach to lose sleep at night and create health issues. He is at the opposite end of the spectrum from, say, JTB. I am highly relieved he is someone else's problem.

I noticed his struggles in his one on ones at camp too. Really big dude but he's got a good 30+ pounds to lose so he can keep up at OT.

Also him not liking the pressure players faced at OSU probably isn't a great thing neither.. He wouldn't have enjoyed his time here that's for sure.

To chose a major life decision like this just to prove people wrong or feed his own ego is something that a petulant child would do

Then again, Ohio State's not a good fit if you don't "think" you can handle pressure or the bright lights

Good luck to Jackson at Clemson.
