JJ Leaf has me more interested in. the NFL than I've been since I was a kid. I want the cocky, cheating piece of shit to stay healthy too. That way, he'll have zero excuses for when his failure is complete.

Akili sucked but he also played on a god-awful Bengals team.
McCarthy took over on a team that went 14-3 last year, who has one of the top WRs in the NFL
Same with JaMarcus Russell. He was bad but also played on crap teams.
I'd argue McCarthy is way worse because he is falling off a cliff with a good amount of legit talent around him

I am being honest when I answer, "No. I don't think it has crossed his mind".
The mindboggling part to me is still the NFL team that drafted him. How do you not see such obvious warning signs during film evaluation and in person workouts/interviews?
