It's Time to Sustain BP Monthly

Did anyone ever post how much we contributed before the monthly thread started?
How did we do?

Who is going to have the unenviable task of associating contributions from various, like Paypal, which probably has personal names, or CCs
with the wild names we chose as monikers?

Was easy with Longwood.... she got to know who was who

We needed to raise 3-4 months of capital worth to not be in "phase down + shut down" mode. We did that (and rescued bp).

We're now starting strong but have more work to do to raise the monthly funding needed. I know our site will rise to the challenge :)

I'm helping communicate and fundraise (with some help), but Mike80 is our fearless leader who will track everything. The new system makes it simple to track donations, albeit with a surprising amount of gumbo motivation for Nutri.

Once the drive has had time to take hold, we'll have our first...

Annual update
- Breakdown of what we raised, what we have pledged, and what that means
- Updates for donor badges
- Vcash updates

With all due respect, that's not an answer... why are we being vague? Are you a congressman?
I appreciate your interest in the progress. I'm sorry it is taking us this long to get the answers to all of your questions. Gathering accurate numbers takes a bit of time, and we want to be sure anything we share is reliable. We are still sorting a few things out. One of those is how much we actually received after fees were taken out. Others include both one time and recurring costs. We will be able to share that information soon. I do not have that calculation completed yet. I expect to have that by tomorrow.

Separately from that number, the upcoming annual report will breakdown:
- Exactly what was raised so far, including processing costs
- How much we are spending
- How much we have committed
Any idea what the average “sustaining” monthly donation is / would be?

$50? $30? $14.99? $10 + F*ck *ichigan?
On the surface it seems like a simpler thing to answer, and I would love to be able to answer that question. We believe we will need $425/month to sustain a stable site. Since at this point we have no idea how many members of our community will be able to contribute financially we really can't know what that average needs to be.

We know people's situations are ever changing. We just want to make sure that as they change, we keep you informed and we remain stable.

Again, I am sorry we haven't supplied more information, but we are still trying to figure it out. Please be patient with us.

My monthly payment has been set up. Since the first one was today, 2/15, would I be correct in assuming that subsequent payments will be made on the 15th of the month?
This would be one of many times where we are learning as we go as this is all new to us. When I looked that up I found this:

Jun 22, 2021 — No minimum balances, no waiting for payout days. Memberships renew monthly on (or very close to) the day of the month the member first paid you.

But when you click through, that text is not found. So the answer is probably that it's updated to being the same calendar day, based on what I'm reading.

We need your input to let us know how it functions on March 15th.

I'd guess we're not looking for numbers that get to the dollar/cents tier... rounding to the hundreds or five-hundreds would be OK... don't want this to be an accounting or math exam... Was looking for team validation of "we did good".. Collecting $1000, we suck... Collecting $3000, we did the minimum, but we still suck... Collecting $5K+, we did good and we can be proud of our ecosystem

We should set a minimum monthly ante to the equivalent of one beer at your nearest pub

I made a 10 dollar donation/tip just now. Will set it up as an automatic donation each month in April.
