Is it weird to walk on the grass in the oval under normal circumstances?

I mean there are no special events, and everybody is just walking to class. The reason I ask is because a friend of mine and I both walk on the grass sometimes on the grounds that the shortest distance from point A to point B is a straight line, and grass doesn't really change that. I have had people look at me, but my friend says he always gets looks that suggest "wtf you doing?".

So I we were wondering if there's something society in general doesn't like about walking on grass that makes them stick with good old concrete sidewalks.

Quit being lazy. tOSU spent a shit load of money on that concrete for you to walk on. If everyone were as lazy as you, it would kill the grass and the Oval would look like shit.

I've walked on the grass before. Ever since I got hit by a motherfucker on a bike I've used the grass more often.

Never had anyone look at me funny.
