Do you think we'll get the "OVerRAted" chant when they talk about the Buckeyes this week?
Wouldn't surprise me a bit.

That's why.OSU_Buckguy;985637; said:well, the berne union vs. amanda clearcreek rivalry has history, too. why doesn't College GameDay set up camp there?
For those that don't know, this is a 120+ year old football rivalry that is actually rooted in the schools' 185+ year hatred towards one another over political administration that resulted in Amherst being founded with faculty, students, and library books taken from Williams. The Amherst "defection" prompted Williams College to found the very first alumni association. Without that (alumni), one might argue no college football rivalry could exist as many do today, at least not ones that can be played in stadiums that hold 100,000 people.HailToMichigan;985632; said:Amherst/Williams is like the Michigan/Ohio State or the Duke/UNC of D-III rivalries. I think they're the #1 and #2 liberal arts schools in the country. I wouldn't be too quick to overlook them or scoff at them just 'cause they're D-III. Amherst/Williams goes right up there with Michigan/Ohio State, Army/Navy, Harvard/Yale, etc.
And I imagine this very site has one administrator who LOVES the GameDay selection. Myself, I dig it. Good for ESPN, going outside the box a bit.

Neither school participates in the Div III playoffs either, so this game is it for them.
You're the second person to suggest this.AKAKBUCK;985779; said:Thank you for that tidbit....
Now... I think we ought to start a game thread, I anticipate a heavy Amherst slant on this board.

Why does everyone think the board will swing the direction of the Amherst Lord Jeffs?
:tongue2:
