Yeah, Hoover is a great high school football team, but it stops at about there. Every single thing you see off the field is fake, and the clips you see from the game are carefully selected to show the game the way they want to. Do you really think they would have cameras in cheerleaders bedrooms and get the real "inside information" without making sure they put a show on? MTV hideously scripts "reality" shows. For example, when they did "Made" for Zach Wilson (who wanted to be an ice skater), they had to actually stage a "competition" to make him look like he won because he was so bad. My friend, who skates, was there and they told the crowd to cheer for him as he acted everything out. Her coach was even asked to be his Made coach, but he turned it down because they wanted him to stage out fights and practices and everything.

shit, SB31, you just ruined my life.
Now I'll have to throw away my Zach Wilson action figure..........just as soon as I can get it out of my ass!

Hahaha. The point was, MTV is fake. But it doesn't really take a genious to figure that out.

I was kind of disapointed to see Wilson on that show, because he played football in my area last year and is a hell of a receiver, not a skater.

Guys I just watched the third episode (downloaded :p) and I think the show is getting better! It's still predictable, yeah, but I love the interaction between the Head Coach and the people in the town and his players. The third episode was pretty good I thought. I think I'll tune it (aka download) the rest of the season. I think it's getting better every week... which isn't saying that much because it started off pretty bad.

First episode was probably a 2/10, but now it's up to 5/10 for me. It's getting better I think. Not GREAT, but I like it better than the MTV show by far.

It seems as if this show has become much more popular over the past year or so. Several of my friends who don't even like football have been watching. Season 4 just started. Anyone watching?

i haven't missed an episode. i set the dvr to record the series, so every time the new season fires up, it starts recording them. the new story line is a bit contrived, but the writers are very good, so i expect it to pick up soon.

We're about halfway through Season 2 and are really enjoying it. Great character development.

Anyone else finish out this series with Season 5? I was so-so in regards to liking Season 4 but the characters got a lot better in Season 5 and having a lot of the original characters make appearances and hearing about how they ended up really made Season 5 the usual awesome for FNL. Sucks this series didn't get as much love in viewership numbers but critically and come award season it was getting love.

I liked how they wrapped things up myself, though it did seem kind of last minute thrown together where they showed up what happened to everyone in the last few minutes. Anyone else watch?
