Was talking to a Buckeye fan in the office Thursday, and we both agreed we felt this was going to be the game we see a few defensive turnovers and probably a defensive score. Didn't think we'd see it in the first half.

I suspect you haven’t seen Iowa’s offensive stats on the year? It’s not to take away anything from what the Silver Bullets are doing today, but Iowa is historically bad on offense.

I have and I have zero regrets saying last year’s D would have lost this game if we had to depend on them. Hands down, they could not win a football game without the offensive weapons we had. There’s a reason the huge changes were made. Go back and watch them play. It was horrible.

Joel is weirdly resistant to praising this D. If they were wearing UGA or Bama unis, he'd be calling then elite

In his defense it is Iowa. Let them continue this play into and until the end of this game and then see what he says. He usually praises OSU's talent so I don't have a lot of negative things to say about Joel.

We need to shut them out in the second half and put up 28 points to stamp this game as a big success.

I don't know what needs to be said to the offense in the locker room, but the coaches also need to get out of their own way. 16 points is a good lead and their defense is good, but the execution just hasn't been great.

He is ass but so are his receivers not named TEs and his oline is garbage too. With decent supporting cast no doubt he would be playing better.
