The issue is clearly a lack of talent in the secondary. A TE should not be able to outrun 2 DBs. Coverage is poor. I can't fault the coaches. They have nothing to work with.

I disagree.

The DBs stopped running, got caught looking in the backfield, then jumped at the ball. That's technique., and that's coachable but the players have to execute it.

After the catch the DB got outrun. If a DB can't catch a TE they don't deserve to be out there.
