Calling it is one thing, confirming it is another. Flag should have stood, but Roby should not have been ejected.
I agree, but the better approach is don't put yourself in that situation in the first place. A form tackle avoids a call altogether.

He went for the blow up. They don't want blow ups, anymore.

Roby launched into the receiver's upper body. Dumb rule or not (it is), it was the appropriate call per the rule. These kids need to be smarter and not go for the knockout hits.

Want to say he "launched"? Okay. But there is no rule as to where you have to hit a player.

Also don't tell me #86 was a defenseless player - unless you want to classify ALL receivers as defenseless at all times.
