NU QB Persa is out for the season after rupturing his achilles on the winning TD pass.

He wasn't hit on the play.

Well looks like the coach of the century and Trev Alberts' personal Big Ten Icon will be back to 7-5 in no time...
Yeah, that's three losses in a row to mighty Northwestern. Still, it's probably good enough to earn Ferentz his fourth Big Ten Coach of the Year award. :roll2:

That really sucks for him, especially with all the hits he does take. Good a way to go out as any though, I guess.

He's played tough all year. They can hardly run the ball, and he's most of the offense by himself.

It was a great to go out on a game-winning play, as long as you're going to be injured.

But it does suck for a couple of other reasons. Next week he'll miss being able to play in the first college football game in Wrigley Field since 1938, and his injury will probably keep NW'ern from getting their first bowl win in over 60 years.

But it really sucks since it now gives them no chance what so ever of beating Wisconsin.

Minnesota coach got a gatorade bath for his win over Illinois. I'd say UM jumping around last week is pretty tame now....

so what you're saying is that Michigan's fan base and players have the same expectations as Minnesota and Illinois? GBYBM YMSOB
