Investigation Results (Merged)

I am at loss of words..... In no disrespect to our fine basketball program, but whats the first thing everyone thinks of when they see the BLOCK O with the words Ohio State across it? ITS FOOTBALL, and when you come on the most watched sports network and say OSU has more problems ahead and not actually state 'oh by the way theirs only one infraction which in all certainty will clear their football program of all punishment' there's some intent to destroy a university. The whole thing early posted on that page of OSU where they go on about how we might get the death penalty was just total garbage. Why not just say OSU football team is about in the clear because honestly thats what we are.

As for Gameday, I'm going to the Texas game and I hope we don't start yelling stuff at them. Instead I hope we could get as many fans as the Television could view and we all just chant O-H-I-O as loud as we can. That'll let them know how much we love our football program and how they should try to not break up one of the most prestigues football programs of modern times.

that crackpot Mandel at SI ... what will all these idiots write about?
Mandel already decided to start hammering us on the basketball program. He wrote something last evening which I posted in the b-ball investigation thread in the b-ball forum.

Because OSU fans are ignorant. They act like the whole media is out to get them.
No, the problem we have is that ESPiN likes dragging our football program's name through the mud. Like everyone else that watched ESPiNews yesterday, I saw the ticker on the bottom of the screen say that tOSU had, according to the NCAA, allegedly violated NCAA rules with their basketball and football programs. While it is technically true regarding the football program, anyone who follows college football to any extent already knew of the TS situation; therefore, to make that statement on the ticker without a qualifying phrase explaining that it was a problem we already dealt with is ridiculous and misleading. For the record, ESPiN's website has essentially the same "headline" on its college football homepage even though, as stated above, the alleged rules violations have little, if anything, to do w/tOSU football. It's misleading, spin journalism at its worst and your statement is as absurd as ESPiN's "headline."

On the Dan Patrick Show

Herbie is going to be on the Dan Patrick Show coming up; and on Dan's "Teaser" was "Did ESPN get the story wrong? Does ESPN owe Ohio State an apology? etc."

Should be an interesting listen...

Someone needs to take on the role of transcriber ...

I'm on the road starting 1PM so I won't have a chance to do anything but wait for air traffic control.

Tom Friend is on now stating that MoC didnt cooperate with the NCAA and that is why there were no other infractions found!

Arrogantly stated...
"If (you) want to believe that the Troy Smith infraction was the only thing found then go ahead."

What a douche. He is standing firmly by his story, and sounds like he has a chip on his shoulder still. Why do I feel like this isnt the last time we are going to hear from Tom Friend?

From Ivan Maisel:

3. Ohio State football escapes an NCAA investigation with only the $500 in quarterback Troy Smith's pocket to answer for, which means that Jim Tressel knows how to win with defense whether it's November or May.

Listened to Friend... such an arrogant ass. He is inferring that Ohio State "friends" can strong arm everyone into silence.

Just listening to everything seems like Herbie went to bat for Ohio State fans (did not hear it directly, just going by what Patrick is saying afterwards and a quick sound bite)

Because, when you have a nasty intestinal bug, it sometimes takes twice to flush all the shit down.

Plays right into their pockets. Lines them I mean.

Stand behind and show support for the Buckeyes and THEM.
The more we line up the more it increases their viewing and supports their sponsors.
I perfer to not support ESPIN and not increase their audience. I don't want the ESPIN fan base to appear to be larger and therefore helping to support them and their sponsors.
They know damn well how much we support the Buckeyes. Why do you think they chose this controversy game against the Buckeyes. We have a tremendous fan base and the controversy will increase their ratings. Just what your proposing to help them accomplish.
