As many of you know I unfortunately have dial-up (only b/c high speed or DSL isn't offered in my area) and I have a question.
I bought a new computer in January that has Windows XP.
My problem is that when I am on the internet, when someone is calling in, the computer doesn't kick me off so I can answer the call. My old computer which had Windows 98 would kick me off every time.
I called OSU tech support (688-HELP) and they couldn't figure it out, the first time I've ever been able to baffle them. They worked with me for about 10 minutes to no avail.
The guy said it used to be easy to change under "internet options" on Windows 98.
I know most people don't like being kicked off but I would rather it be that way since I don't have a cell phone.
I already tried searching on microsoft.com to no avail.
Any help is appreciated.
