I'm about to finish my junior year and I have recently added Otterbein to my list of possible colleges that I might like to attend. I'm an aspiring singer and from what I've heard they have an excellent music college. I have an average GPA, 3.42. Does anyone have any information, connections, etc. regarding Otterbein? If so, feel free to PM me or just post your information in this thread.

My sister graduated from Otterbein with an undergraduate in music theory & composition so she has some connections in the instrumental music area. My wife also graduated from there with a BFA in theatre, so she has connections to the musical theatre folks. Shoot me a PM with any specific questions and I'm sure either one of them would be happy to answer them.

From my vantage point, better the one in music theory than the one in theatre. :lol:

It's good if you're going to be a music, broadcast or theater major. I went to Otterbein for 3 years before finishing up at Ohio State and I have very little positive to say about that place. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you're trying to do one of those 3 majors.

Nursing and equestrian science (WTF?!?!) are also very good programs there.

Otterbein SUCKS! CAPITAL is a better school to attend. Also if you want to go to a school that loses all the time go to Otterbein. Cap has a very good music progam and is in a better neighborhood in my opinion. I now work in Westerville but Bexley is a lot nicer. As far a tuition goes I'm not sure how much Otterbein is but Capital unfortunately costs a bunch. Good luck with which ever school you decide to attend. GO CRUSADERS! Class of 05'
