Indians Tidbits (2008 season)

ugh Eric Wedgie.....you don't let Dellucci take that at bat even if Thornton is nasty on right-handers. I called a double play ball as soon as he left Dellucci in.
You know, for being last year's 'Manager of the Year', he's just plum dumb. That award is forever tainted having that numbskull's name attached to it.

That it is...and in a very bad way obviously. :shake:

Indian's bullpen =

it's just terrible baseball. I just don't understand how a team that should have gone to the world series can come out this flat, and just play awful baseball.

I really think it has to go on the managers. The players aren't playing well, but the entire team just flat out sucks with exception to 5 players.

Again, it's pretty amazing how shitty they've been.

Well, the blame on this one falls squarely on C.C.'s shoulders for allowing an insurmountable 2-0 lead in the 2nd inning. :roll1:

This is weeks past ridiculous, if Shelton isn't replaced by June first, I'm done. If the clowns in charge don't give enough of a fuck to try to turn this season around, I'm not wasting my time following this crap anymore. It's clear that Shelton couldn't teach a puppy to fetch, yet alone these bastards how to hit. I don't care who they bring in, just anybody but that worthless fuckstick.

Also, could somebody please notify our award winning manager and GM that their starting 2nd baseman is hitting .177 approaching the end of May? Are they intentionally trying to ruin his career? What the fuck? Josh Barfield may not be a worldbeater, but he was a productive 2B two years ago and simply could not be any worse than Cabrera right now. That change should have been made weeks ago, yet we just sit and watch his average drop and drop and drop...

That's really all you can do is laugh at this point. Team batting average .236...

Even the guys above .250 are decieving. Grady's career is stuck in neutral. He's solid, but shown little to no improvement from his rookie season three years ago. Victor still hasn't hit a HR and only has 15 RBI...and that's the motherfucking cleanup hitter? :slappy:

I say from now on, clowns run out with them and spray them with silly string and seltzer water to the strains of the 'Benny Hill' theme when they walk up to bat until they play above amateur level.

Just move the pie-in-the-face to during the game instead of following it. Getting one of those after every strikeout ought to get everyone in the batting cage a little more often. :)

yep, the "its early in the season" argument doesnt really work now this team is showing no signs of improvement on the offensive side.

Id like to see Aubrey DH since Hafner is majorly shitting the bed, Maybe bring Barfield up soon and send Asdrubal down as well

That argument was no longer valid a couple weeks ago.

It doesn't matter who you plug in where anymore. What we need is a decent hitting coach to work one-on-one with each of these guys. They are making terrible contact, have huge holes in their swings and just look lost in a lot of AB's. All things that can be corrected if they have someone worth a damn to work with them. Until Shelton is gone, I fear there will be no change. Cabrera needs to be jettisoned to Buffalo two weeks ago. He's still young and all this is doing is murdering his confidence. They keep trotting him out there, and he's going to be permanently wrecked.

the team right now has 340 hits compared to 306 strikeouts, only the Padres have a worse H/SO ratio

that along with the epicly awful BA should be enough of a sign that the coaching is not doing a good job and that a change needs to be made..............
