Game Thread Indiana at tOSU, Sat. Nov. 23, 12pm ET, FOX

What can you do to ensure a late score against you?

It's always a great strategy to set the stage by talking crap. Blow your own horn a lot and pretend you're Jim Tressel. Heck, tell a large crowd back home that the #2 team in the country sucks.

Brag about how you have run up the score more than any other team, ignoring that your SoS is among the worst in college football.

Just in case they miss you asking for it, wait until they call off the dogs late in the 4th quarter and you score. Go for a meaningless 2 point conversion to show them you are unbowed.

Humble pie. It's what you decided to feed your team and fanbase.

It's about time the DL got their shit together. The pass rush on that first drive was so abysmal I was ready to throw myself off a building.

We got it together at the right time too. The only good thing about having no pass rush and a complete scheme change this late in the year is that teams don't have much film on it.
I see my quote was used in a previous post(not yours) about complaining yadda yadda yadda…lol the DL all year has been poor at getting to the QB. Knowles blitzed a lot Saturday so I would hope we could get home. Many people who cover the buckeyes have talked about how jack and JT need to do more and step up. Oregon and the playoffs I’m gonna be looking at the front 4. Simple as that

Yeah from what I remember Gabriel had a clean pocket and could usually step up if anyone pressures from the edge. Recently they've been much more willing to twist DL and have been a lot better at executing blitzes up the middle.

It might not be execution as much as the the LBs and DL working together to confuse OL instead of the DL being static bull rushes and the back 7 working around what they were doing.
so was the only difference that our front seven was bringing the bull rush against indiana, but for whatever reason we weren’t doing that against nebraska or purdue or northwestern?

and if that’s the reason, then why didn’t we do that against the other teams we faced except indiana?

i’m asking because i’m curious what the result would have been had we been able to disrupt gabriel’s pocket… and whether we will be able to do that in a rematch with oregon.

Everybody likes the coming of age, rags to riches underdog storyline. In the real world, sometimes when you stand up to a bully, you get put in a trash can or shoved in a locker.

Cignetti and Indiana have learned it’s ok to say Purdue sucks and Michigan sucks in the Big Ten but leave Ohio State’s name out of your mouth, nerd.

There was talk earlier in the season Larry Johnson doesn't like stunts. Jim Knowles does. There was supposedly a lot of push and pull there. It sounds like over the last few weeks Knowles finally won that argument

I've thought all year now that Day went down the hall to the defensive room after Oregon and had a "and that means you too Larry!" kind of talk with the two of them.
