Personally I am still in the process of suspending disbelief about how well this squad has performed. That, and the absence of the Elite 8 option makes answering the question difficult.

As others have noted how far CAN they go is to the title game. However, I interpret the question as how far do you believe they wll go? To which question my answer is Sweet Sixteen.

I was actually going to say elite eight, but since that isn't one of the choices I'll say sweet sixteen. I think that rebounding will be a huge problem against any big athletic team. Really is hard to predict until the bracket comes out.

I was also going to say Elite Eight, so I'l go with Sweet Sixteen...I just think we'll get tripped up between the first two games and the Final Four.

I went with Final Four (no Elite 8 option) my fear is that we will come up against a team with too much size and athleticism (not sure we beat LSU/LSU type on a neutral court) We did beat scUM but I'm not sold on their coaching and scUM st was missing Trannon. Hate to repeat everyone else, but if we hit our threes we will be a very tough out. What a foundation these guys set
:oh: :io:

After we beat LSU I came to the conclusion that our team can beat any team in the country on any given night. With that said, we can also lose to just about any team in the country (within reason) as well on any given night. I made a bet with some Illinois fans I work with that OSU will make the final four and they gave me 50 to 1 on a five dollar bet back in December. I just let one of them out for 25 bucks because he got nervous (easy money). Here's to catching fire from three, Dials continuing his dominance inside, and making believers out of non-OSU fans. See you guys in Indy:)

What I like: Thad Matta is a great bench coach. As he demonstrated here in Cincinnati, by taking XU to the elite 8 and consistently beating bigger teams by playing a faster team.

What I don't like: conference tournaments which beat the hell out of your kids just when you should be trying to get them some rest, which can (and usually do) undo the results of whole seasons and send undeserving teams to better seedings. The seedings will end up favoring the Pac 10, Big East and the ACC and we'll get sent to some jive ass place closer to Nome, Alaska than Columbus, Ohio.

I still see us as a Sweet Sixteen team, but we'll get stuck in a bitch of a bracket.

Now that the brackets are out, presuming no upsets (ha ha!), here's where we're heading:

Round 1: Davidson

Round 2: Georgetown

Sweet 16: Florida

Great 8: Villanova

Final Four: UConn

There are no easy runs through the NCAA, though that's not too bad. G-town is better than their seed, so that sucks a little, but it's in Dayton, so you have to pick OSU.

I'd also expect to see more OSU fans at Minneapolis than Gator fans, but that game is going to be a shootout. Florida is a hot-shooting team that puts up a lot of points. The one weakness they've shown is in giving up steals and turnovers. In the SEC title game, South Carolina's defense ate them up. If both teams get there, it will be a great game.

Making it to the Sweet 16 is a safe pick. To pick OSU the Final Four, not only do you have to have the Bucks beating Florida, but also have them beating Villanova, if they make it without being upset. I think that they match up very well, and with Allan Ray back, Villanova shouldn't look the way they did in the Big East title game. Still, if you're going to knock off a #1 seed to win your region, they're the one to draw.

So I'm going to be an optimist and pick Final Four.

It would be amazing to win the title any year. But, to win the title the season before one of the greatest recruiting classes in CBB history comes on campus? The expectations next year are already probably too high, but they would reach unimagineable levels if we were to somehow win it all this year.
