In-state Players to Watch

It?s the same for Sean Welsh of Springboro. He holds offers from Iowa, Cincinnati, both Miamis and others, but he hasn?t given up on gaining one from Ohio State. Because a couple of higher-profile line prospects targeted by OSU have committed to other schools ? for example, Ethan Pocic of Lemont, Ill., chose LSU two weeks ago ? the Buckeyes are still in the market.

?My mission is to do my best and show the coaches that I can play at that level,? Welsh said. ?I am absolutely confident with my ability, and I have absolutely no doubt I can do my best? today.
Welsh is trying to keep an open mind through the process, listening and studying what all schools have to offer.

“But my family has always lived in Ohio (his veterinarian mother went to graduate school at OSU), there is a rich Buckeye tradition, everybody watches Ohio State, and I grew up doing that,” Welsh said. “But I have tried to stay as neutral as possible in all of this.”

OL Sean Welsh, Springboro, Ohio, just texted me he thought he did well at OSU advanced camp today. No offer yet, he said, but he is hopeful.
