I'm doing an investigative report for class over the current BCS state of affairs.

Should winning your conference be necessary to play in the BCS Championship Game?

Two things:

1) Oklahoma is going to beat Oklahoma State.

B: TooTallMenardo's 8.3 megabyte animated soccer gif is 8.3 megabytes of browser slowing who-gives-a-[Mark May].

III - It's Soccer.

I'm running a 7 year old computer and that gif isn't affecting my browser.

Time to check for spyware?

I voted yes. But let me just say this. It's a win-win for the NCAA every year. And this is why the NCAA will NEVER change the way they do things. If the two teams are evenly matched and it looks like it will be a good game - win. If there is controversy and all the talking heads on t.v., radio and newspaper are blathering on about the injustice of the system, team C getting screwed over, blah, blah, blah - win again - more free publicity for the tournament.

Not to be a debbie downer but the NCAA is fat, happy and unlikely to change anything.

Just my 2 cents.

The NCAA didn't create the BCS system, polls or CCGs. Money and conferences did.

i like how this baf guy makes one thread with a poll and then dips the [censored] out and is never heard from again
Don't worry I'm here. It's been a hectic couple days. I've had multiple projects to work on, I hold two jobs, go to class full time, been camping out by the football stadium since Wednesday (this gets us into the stadium and good seating before all the other students) and then last night...well let's just say it was a fun night.

I've not compiled all my data yet and unfortunately TideFans would not let me post, but my percentages are currently as follows:

Pac12board: 76% yes
BuckeyePlanet: 82%
OrangePower (of course): 89%

With the way both ESPN's SportsNation poll is going as well as CBSSport's poll (front page, left side), I think these are some pretty solid numbers to work from and represent the national sentiment pretty well.

Thanks for your help!
