Yesterday, the 12th of October in the year 2006, I, Buckeye Maniac, recieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Now, I still have to wait 3-5 weeks until I know for sure that I am an Eagle, but I have a good feeling about it, because very rarely are people turned away after having been approved by their troop and council.

I also am no longer lying on my OSU app. :tongue2:

Eagle Scout is a really great accomplishment for many reasons.

The dedication to meeting all of the reqirements is commendable. Its takes a lot of work and time. It was that way 30 years ago.

Its even more so today. Today's world is difficult for a kid, especially a young man, to stay involved in an organization that most of his peers would consider "childish". The pressure from the outside has to be heavy.

My daughter is in her last year of Brownies and is ready to be a Jr. Girl Scout. I hope she stays with it as you did.

I can't tell you how impressed I am with you right now. Mad Props!

Congrats. If your troop is like the one my son was in, you'll be impressed by all of the congratulatory letters you'll receive. A significant number of highly successful people are Eagle Scouts.

Good Job hoss!!! I still post that in my online Bio for work and I'm 30!!!

Best of luck on the review, at my review a fight almost went down between one of my references, a former WWII vet and frogman, and the council. They weren't going to award it to me because I didn't have have a church reference. Although they did, that was one tense review.
