I was at the Dave Wilson game at the ‘Shoe in 1980. It was 35-7 Buckeyes early in the third quarter. After that, they couldn’t stop Wilson, and it ended up 49-42 with the Buckeye defense completing gassed but Illinois ran out of time,

I was there too. We were in B deck about 2 rows behind the Neutron man. When OSU went down 21-0 in the 2nd quarter my roommate got up and walked back to Drackett. I told him there could be a comeback. I’m glad I stayed. Incredibly exciting from then on

It was Homecoming 1984….the theme was All That Jazz
