Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Tonight: Illinois 31 - Chattanooga 0
Bret actually has the Illini to a point where they aren't the worst team in the B1G anymore.....

Yeah, but while you're waiting.....Bret Bielema is your coach.Jury is still out on Bielema at Illinois but I remain cautiously hopeful. Offense is still leaving too many points in the board, can't happen in B1G play. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Saw this yesterday and brought back some painful memories. We don't talk enough about how the 2011 Ohio State team, easily the weakest OSU team of this millennium, absolutely BROKE the Illinois football program. We still haven't recovered from that awful October afternoon almost 11 years ago.
Illini were 6-0, ranked 16th in the country, and a 3-3 OSU team was coming to town, Illinois was a rare favorite against the Buckeyes, 16 year old me was excited, the Illini are gonna win back the turtle and we were gonna have a special year. We were just waiting and we thought we were seeing.
And then we weren't. Illinois lays an egg, OSU wins 17-7, then came the nose dive to hell, losing our next 5, Zook is fired putting us on the road to Tim Beckman/Bill Cubit/Lovie Smith.
Illinois wins that game, maybe we don't lose the next 5, Zook holds on another year, maybe we never end up with Beckman, who the hell knows? I just remember being so pissed after that game if I'd have known just how deep the fallout was going to be from that loss, I would've cried.
Wasn't that the game where Ohio State won with one completed pass the whole game?
Yes. And of course that one pass went for a touchdown.
You inspired me to find thisWasn't that the game where Ohio State won with one completed pass the whole game?
@BB73I’m still smarting from the 2007 Juice Williams game where every single Illini read option play was successful. That was a real good Buckeye team that got dominated.
I was at that game with good seats. That day I learned Replay can be broken. Not in that they didn't review it cause reasons but physically broken so they can't. And that it's soul sucking as hell when you can't stop the QB from getting 4 yards...@BB73
Such great seats ruined by such a shitty result. There was also a fumble for an osu touch back after the first carry of the game for Illinois. Had review looked at the play, it would have been 7 points off the board.
Alsoat the USC at the 2008 with my Dad
Anyway.... went to USC 2008 with bb73 ... and.. we agreed to part ways, when it came to games. Not really. But we haven't been to a game together since. Lol
We may have been directly opposite you for USC. We had seats in the north end zone. The USC band was to our left in the opposite side of the endzone. We were on the right side, probably just inside the hash. B deck. Maybe 20th row? We weren't under CI was at that game with good seats. That day I learned Replay can be broken. Also was at USC 2008 with my dad in South stands. Crazy atmosphere but punting from field goal range and Pryor missing a guy standing wide open killed us.
