excuse me sixth on this site but i firmly believe top three big ten classes so far illinois ohio state michigan. i am not a rankings guy per se i think illini class is much closer to the top. plus certain players are clearly not ranked where they should be so take that into account. come signing day i think illini are first second or third best class in the big ten.

Illini got commits from a pair of 2* players the past few days. One is a JC safety with no other reported offers. The other, the #130 DE with MAC offers. [strike]TheKid[/strike] bigillinifanchicago calls them "impact players".

I can't believe the mods let him continue to post there. Every thread he posts in devolves into other posters blasting him for creating a new account to subvert a ban and labeling his posting as "schtick". It's like Lord of the Flies over there. :lol:

Our other old illini-troll buddy, illinidarrin, isn't faring to well over there either...

I don't think Beckman's necessarily a bad coach, that roster's just a dumpster fire. For as much as they touted Zooker's recruiting prowess, he got that rep basically from one class. His classes since 2007 were garbage...hence, a major lack of talent, and a 2-10 team.

Oh, I don't dispute that there are some huge problems with talent on that team, especially on the lines, but I've yet to see him do much in the way of good coaching. His Okie State defenses were bad, his defenses at Toledo were abysmal, and this year at Illinois wasn't much better. He had to rely on great offenses to get the job done - until this year anyway. If you can't even be good at your specialty, why would anyone expect him to be a good head coach?
