Allegro and Pierce need to take a seat. Especially Pierce. He just doesn't have the athleticism to be consistently capable against B1G teams.

I don’t think Pierce was even on the field that drive. I caught 5, 14, and 17 out there though and none of them did much of anything. Alford had the RB run right past him on the first long run and Petitjohn was lost on the TD run.

Eh credit to Illinois on what is so far a great plan. We had that first run dead but good patience by the back. That last run no joke I see it coming. I motioned with my hand downward before the play was starting. That’s we no one down there other than the end.

I know there was motion across but if you have pulling guards that’s your queue not the motion. No clue why both Pettijohn and Earle went full tilt with the motion. That’s not your queue at all.

Wouldn’t have mattered anyway but Julian should’ve just went and got the yards there. Break out of the box it’s right there and then a force.
