That’s possible, but we don’t know for sure yet whether we just don’t have dudes or if it’s more communication/disicipline/scheme issues that can be fixed.

I'm seeing a lot of DL get their asses whooped straight up. No scheme can fix that imo. LBs the jury is out for me because done woes there flow down from the DL getting worked, but my inclination is to say we're plenty talented there and they just need the DL to play better in front of them.

Look at the number of times already the opposing QBs have escaped the pocket
and our front 6-7 can't catch them before they either scramble and get the pass off
or get to the sideline

Was not the case last year

Pettyjohn may be the exception
and watch out for Cincere... QBs will not get away from him

Especially vs the teams that’ll ruthlessly run the ball it could be a rough go. Games like Indiana, Oregon, USC and TCUN are going to be gut checks for this defense

Offense.

OL & QB struggle with the "graduate level" coursework. Jeremiah is the greatest in school history. Plenty of talent to beat scUM

Defense - reminds me of going from 05 to 06. The defensive front isn't as flexible because of the loss at LB. But instead of the shifts between 4-3 and 3-3, we're lacking in the shifts between our 4-2, penny/"walk" and odd fronts. So the ability to eliminate the B gap bubbles and still have edge threats are severely reduced while using the same personnel. Something we enjoyed last year with the utility between Sonny & Arvell

Different squads, Different eras. Same problems - replacing players.

After watching everyone else I don't know. Everyone looks kinda fucked this year except maybe Georgia? But Oklahoma is dog shit so who knows. Domers could be it but they play a way weaker schedule than even OSU did last year.

The constant defensive rotations/“line changes” do not help.
