There is no assumption involved there whatsoever. You can tell quite easily that it wasn't anywhere near that spot, particularly when you know moving it back only 3 inches (let alone the 12-30 it should be) removes the first down.

After that kid got hurt on the very next play I probably would've gotten ejected because I would have verbally lit those fucking idiots up over that crap.
