I don't know if it's because this is a home game for UM or because Zook coaches Illinois or because I don't think Illinois has a good enough passing game to exploit UM's horrid pass defense, but my gut feeling is that UM lucks into another win this weekend a la against ND and Indiana this year.

The bad secondary also plays into the running game too. Those guys can't tackle when ball carriers get to the 2nd level. scUM's run D has been nearly as bad. It looks like Mike Martin is still dinged and Craig Roh is still playing out of position.

I don't understand why it takes them so long to makr these changes. He will be 15-20 lbs underweight due to the position he was originally conditioned for, but he at least gives you some value as a pass rusher. Roh the linebacker is about as effective as Novak under the basket.WolverineMike;1805291; said:

sad thing is, the change is being made because Roh actually went to the coaches to voice his displeasure and said he's better if he plays on the line. So the players can see where they are stronger and the coaches can't? Yikes.
