Illinois +2.5 at TSUN (ov/un 57.5) Noon ET, ESPN
vtraps just arent that scary... I probably wouldn't put $50mm of my real money on the zooker
I lost 1/11 of my billionaire status on the last vtrap (Minn vs NW). I'm a jaded and broken man.

I don't know if it's because this is a home game for UM or because Zook coaches Illinois or because I don't think Illinois has a good enough passing game to exploit UM's horrid pass defense, but my gut feeling is that UM lucks into another win this weekend a la against ND and Indiana this year.

The bad secondary also plays into the running game too. Those guys can't tackle when ball carriers get to the 2nd level. scUM's run D has been nearly as bad. It looks like Mike Martin is still dinged and Craig Roh is still playing out of position.

Michigan will put up some points. But they will obviously give up some points. In the end, Michigan's defense outsucks the offense...

Michigan: 31
Illinois: 5,000,000,000

Roh is supposedly going to be more up on the line in this game. We'll see.

Much like his regular record RR's record against the spread (ATS) is brutal:

2008
OOC: 0-4
B10: 2-6

2009
OOC:3-0 (Delaware state game didn't have a line)
B10: 1-7

2010 YTD
OOC:1-3
B10:0-4

Current B10 ATS losing streak: 9 games
Last B10 win ATS: 10/10/09 in a 28-30 loss at Iowa they covered the +9.5 spread.

-The other 2 covers were in 2008, +7.5 @ Minny and +4.5 vs Wisky.
-RR's teams are currently 3-17 against the spread in B10 play.
-They are 0-6 under RR as a favorite in B10 play

Game by game with scUM as favorite in B10 play;
2008
-3 vs Northwestern/Loss
2009
-7 vs Purdue/Loss
-7 @ Illinois/Loss
2010
-10 @ IU/Loss
-5 vs MSU/Loss
-3 @ PSU/Loss

I don't understand why it takes them so long to makr these changes. He will be 15-20 lbs underweight due to the position he was originally conditioned for, but he at least gives you some value as a pass rusher. Roh the linebacker is about as effective as Novak under the basket.

I still want to see what Fitzgerald can do with extended pt. Mouton has plenty of moments that require some sideline coaching, give him more reps out there. Or keep using him to stop the run in replacement of a 180 lb 5'10" DB.
