Illinois' bubble has officially burst. The only way they go dancing is if they win the B1G tourney. In other words, the same chances as Pedo State.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be doing all of my upset picks in the tournament based on who gets B1G refs. So, once again, officiating in a B1G game is being discussed by the commentators. Yeah...embarrassing.

When you lose 9/10, I guess you take what you can get.BuckeyeNation27;2113488; said:their bench is better than OSU's

http://www.buckeyextra.com/content/blogs/hoops-and-scoops/2012/02/02-21-12-postgame-illinois.html- As noticeable as the heightened pace was when Matta replaced Lenzelle Smith Jr. at the first timeout of the game with freshman Shannon Scott rather than Sam Thompson, who had been the first guard off the bench since early January. That paired two point guards, Scott and Aaron Craft, for the first time in a long time, and Matta used the tandem extensively in each half.
Matta said he did it to accelerate the pace and keep his offense attacking Illinois."We ran the same things . . . but just tried to keep the pace going high," Scott said. "No one really wants to play defense that long, so we tried to push it all the time and keep attacking them all the time."
Illinois coach Bruce Weber said it also allowed Matta to use Thompson to spell Buford, whose 26 minutes were his fewest in 13 games. But Matta stopped short of saying it will be that way every game.
One of the factors in him resting Buford last night, he said, was "where we are in this stretch and where we?ve played. The last two games (at Minnesota and Michigan), we played at 9 o?clock on the road and got home at 3:30 in the morning, got home at 2:30 in the morning, and bam, we?re back at it."
