I would have to agree with you on this. I don't see that this team has an identity right now on offense, so I am not sure who is going to go off on Illinois.
I don't think it's a matter of who is going to go off on them. They're pretty much the worst team in the B1G right now. They've totally quit and have a lame duck coach. They have guys sobbing on the bench. If tOSU can't win by at least 15, we're in serious trouble.

I have to agree with the last sentiment. Ohio State is at a crossroads. another loss in the BIG and it's time to let the kids play more.

Just like they were [censored]ed about losing to MSU at home while going into Crisler to take on UM? Sorry, I don't see that kind of team this year. I don't see a loss here, but I don't see this team "making a statement" after their past few performances. I hope they prove me wrong.

There's a big difference, motiviation-wise, between (a) playing a team at home that beat you previously in the season (this is the situation against Illinois tonight) and (b) playing on the road at night in front of amped up fans with College Gameday in the house against a team that you already beat earlier in the season (this was the situation against UM the other night). So your pointing to the UM game as an indication to whether OSU will be motivated to win tonight isn't really relevant at all.

Would love to see Ron Lewis suit up tonight. This team desperately needs someone tht can take the ball to the hoop and get to the foul line. Buford has turned into strictly a jump shooter lately. Lenzelle Smith needs to get involved more just to make teams respect him. Teams literally have to only guard 4 players against us because Sam Thompson refuses to shoot the ball or drive and if Lenzelle doesn't hit his first three his offense seems to go out the window too.

How about Jerry Lucas:huh: but I guess he can't shoot from the outside either.

What kind of comparison is that? He's talking about being pissed at the same team that beat them earlier in the year, not about being pissed at Team A because you just lost to Team B.

And yeah, I think they'll have the earlier loss to Illinois in their minds today...

The next game after losing to MSU was at Minnesota, where the Buckeyes won by 10.
