Illinois +1.5 vs Baylor (ov/un 62.5) 12-29 6 ET, Texas Bowl

Wow, was surprised to see the team of Chief Zook play so well. I have no real hatred for Illinois, so I don't feel the same mixed emotions that I did last night watching the Iowa asspastries win. Though beating Gang Green is no huge deal, congrats to the Big Ten for another one...hopefully now we'll have some legs to sdtand on when the schools from Michigan get murdered.

Baylor was ranked for two weeks this year and there were a few articles on the sports sites suggesting they were indicative of the stiff competition in the Big 12. Spiels was pointing out a few surprising choices that Zook made in the 1st half (e.g., kicking FGs instead of going for it when the run was working and momentum was in their favor), but the Illini didn't just win, they dominated Baylor.

My favorite part of watching this game was the on-field smack talk and antics of Baylor when they were getting hosed.

Big Ten 2-0.

This is the marvellous thing about Zook. You never know who's gonna get Zooked when they take the field.
