Clifton is a MONSTER and plays every play all out. Definitely the type of kid I would want on my team!

Garrett is the exact player we need on our offense...perfect blend of talent, attitude, and attention to the fundamentals. In my eyes, Garrett and McMillan are both 5 star talents and hopefully are top priority for 2014.
Urban Meyer pushing for Clifton Garrett
November, 26, 2012
By Jared Shanker | ESPN.com
Standing on the sideline before the game, ESPN Watch List inside linebacker Clifton Garrett (Plainfeld, Ill./Plainfield South) was watching Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier warm up when the Michigan players came out onto the field. Shazier had some comments for the Wolverines, which even fired Garrett up.
"The Michigan players started coming out and as soon as that happened Shazier got in Denard Robinson's face," Garrett said. "That was getting me all pumped up.
"Watching that game, I was thinking, 'I just want to go out and play.' "

I talked a lot with Raekwon McMillan and Drew Barker, and we spoke about playing together in college. As of now, that still seems to be the plan.
Ohio State has been searching just about everyone for solid linebackers. They are closing in on a few big ones in the 2013 class, but without any currently committed, there?s no doubt it will be crucial for Urban Meyer to recruit a significant group in the 2014 class.
Recruiting gurus estimate that as many as four spots in Ohio State?s 2014 class could be dedicated to linebackers and the Buckeyes would love to have one of those four spots given to Clifton Garrett, a 6-3, 220-pound linebacker out of Joliet, Ill.

2014 US ARMY All-American LB Clifton Garrett headed back to #OhioState February 2nd for another overnight visit. #Buckeyes
The Top Dog? So who's the top prospect expected at the Core 6 Showcase? Plainfield South junior linebacker Clifton Garrett (6-foot-3, 220 pounds)- Garrett, who was discovered at last year's Core 6 Showcase has all of the makings of being a standout college linebacker. Garrett reminds me physically of former Chicago Hubbard linebacker Chris Patterson who was a five star prospect coming out of Hubbard. Garrett on the hoof has the same physical attributes and tools that Patterson also possessed at the high school level. I'm looking for Garrett to take his game to another level starting at this event.

1. Clifton Garrett, LB, Joliet (Il.) Plainfield South
Garrett took home the combine overall MVP honors and had the look of a top national prospect. The 6-foot-2, 222-pounder was very fluid throughout the day, especially in back pedal drills, which also showed in one-on-one?s. Garrett showed the ability to stay attached against running backs, with an impressive blend of quickness, change of direction and the ability to open up and run. Garrett lists Ohio State as the early leader and will be back on the Buckeyes campus in early February, but will also make trips to Ole Miss and Mississippi State in early April.
