GO BUCKS!
  • ...consider me victimized.

It sucks, I can't do a damn thing about it. I've went through all of the normal steps, and my money is on it's way back into my accounts...but it feels like it's not enough.

It was my first time going to the gym in weeks. The one time I choose to go. Someone breaks into my car and takes my wallet out. In the half an hour that it was missing, $1,400 worth of charges.

I'm a college student. Until this money comes back, I don't know what I'm going to do. At least I payed my bills early this month.

    :(

I feel your pain. Went through the same thing a couple of months ago.

My advise would be to get on Equifax and check your credit report. IF they got your personal info, they may be applying for credit cards in your name. It wouldn't hurt to get an alert on your credit just in case..

What really ticked me off is that the people racked up tons of stuff and the post office could've stopped the stuff from being delivered to the fake address.
However, the lady on the phone told me that it wasn't their problem :mad2:

Yeah, I placed an alert with the Federal Trade Commission that my SS number might have been compromised.

I did some self investigating at the stores they went to, and it seems as though they might have made an instore pickup scheduled for tomorrow

    Police will be there.

Because one time I took my wallet inside with me my dad told me to always leave in the car.

It wasn't even visible looking in the window. It was in a compartment.

No offense to your dad, but leaving valuables in your vehicle, even if said valuables are not in plain sight or on a "compartment", is not a wise thing to do....that was something that my dad told me many years ago before identity theft was rampant.

A couple of months ago University of Missouri sent out information about taxes to the students. The geniuses sent it in see through envelopes leaving the SSN visible to other people. The only they sent out was an apology letter. Nothing like raping students with tuition and fees and also giving out their SSN!
